This application must be completed by April 11, 2025
Each year we have a group of young men who have served on our Service Patrol providing irreplaceable support and service for our Pow Wow event. Although these young men work extremely hard and long hours, most of them come back year after year wanting to serve again. Applicants for Service Patrol are selected using the following criteria and the qualifications listed further below:
- 1st Choice GMA recipients
- 2nd Choice E3, E2, E1
- 3rd Choice Former Service Patrol members
- 4th Choice AR Gold Medal, Silver Medal, Bronze Medal
Qualifications for Service Patrol are as follows:
- He is a Born-Again Christian and well-grounded in the Word of God.
- He is loyal to the church.
- His habits and ideals are above reproach.
- He likes and enjoys working with boys.
- He has a consistent testimony in daily Christian Living.
- He is able to lead and delegate authority.
- He possesses good judgment.
- He is willing to accept responsibility.
- He has earned the respect of others by his/her actions and words.
Service Patrol members must be able to:
- Report to RORC campground by 5 pm on Thursday before Pow Wow.
- Physically able to dig, sweep, clean, work outside in hot weather, and follow directions.
- Remain following camp dismissal for approximately 1-2 hours for final clean-up. In the past Outposts have pitched in to help with this, and the time requirement is lessened.
MEDICAL FORMS: ALL persons attending Pow-Wow must have a current SCRR medical form. The form is available here – Medical Form – Rangers. Please take note this form MUST BE NOTARIZED WITH SEAL! Bring this form with you to Pow-Wow.
This form is your Pow Wow registration. There is no charge for Service Patrol members.
Service Patrol Members:
- Will receive two Staff t-shirts.
- Will eat with their outpost.
- Get to sleep in an air-conditioned cabin.
- Will receive special recognition for serving at Pow-Wow
